Floyd Douglas “Buck” Plash, age 86, a lifelong resident of Plash Island on the Alabama Coast, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on October 15, 2014.īuck graduated from Foley High School in 1946 he served proudly with “L” Company of the 45th Infantry Division (Thunderbirds) during the Korean War he was a lifelong member of Oyster Bay Baptist Church, where he served on the House and Grounds committee for over fifty years and was an honorary deacon and he owned and operated the shrimping trawlers Lucky and Lucky Boy.
